INDIAN COMMUNITY EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE WITH
MAYOR R.T. RYBAK
ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT EDUCATION IN THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS? PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN UPCOMING
EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION WITH MAYOR R.T. RYBAK.
In May, Minneapolis School Superintendent Johnson announced her bold plan to reshape the
educational experience for Minneapolis children so that every child who walks into one of our
city’s schools walks out prepared to succeed. Her renewed effort to close the achievement gap
includes working to influence this year’s teacher’s contract negotiations with such provisions as
increased instructional time and greater freedom to hire and retain the best teachers.
Please join us, along with Mayor R.T. Rybak, to learn more about Superintendent Johnson’s efforts
and to discuss ideas on how we can work together to end the achievement gap for American Indian
students.
Monday, August 26th
